The INTAQT Project is organising the ‘EU Livestock 2030’ event at the European Parliament

The INTAQT project, funded by the European Commission’s H2020 program, includes CONSULAI as a partner and aims primarily to evaluate the relationship between animal production systems and product quality in the beef, poultry, and dairy sectors.

In collaboration with other European projects, namely mEATquality, Pathways, and code re-farm, INTAQT is promoting the event EU Livestock 2030: Aligning Policy, Practice & Consumer Expectations, scheduled for March 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This event, which will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, will bring together policymakers, researchers, and coordinators of projects funded by the European Union to reflect on the future of the European livestock sector. With the EU’s sustainability and transparency goals, the sector must balance policy demands, economic feasibility, and consumer needs.

The event will address strategies to strengthen authenticity, trust, and competitiveness throughout the value chain, as well as practical measures to ensure the sector’s resilience through 2030.

The program will include opening remarks from Members of the European Parliament and representatives of the European Commission, expert presentations, and a roundtable discussion.

This initiative aims to foster dialogue between science and policy, promoting the sharing of knowledge and experiences that can contribute to more effective public policies and to animal production systems that are more sustainable, transparent, and aligned with the expectations of European society.
