IPMWORKS: European Parliament exhibition “Towards a Europe without pesticides within the framework of the European Green Deal and the reform of the SUD/SUR directive”

Time and place: Espace Emilio Colombo, European Parliament, Strasbourg, 14-16 February 2023

From Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th February, the IPMWORKS H2020 research project will be organising the above exhibition on integrated crop protection and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in agriculture with the support of Claude Gruffat MEP (Verts, France). The exhibition will include over 25 real case examples of how farmers are working to reduce or remove pesticides from their daily agricultural practices. The IPMWORKS exhibition team will include a number of farmers and agronomic experts in pest control from several European countries who will be on hand to provide technical briefings on pest control and IPM practices. IPMWORKS will be joined by the IPMDecisions H2020 project, IBMA and IFOAM.

This exhibition to be held during the February Strasbourg session comes at a crucial time when the European Parliament is debating the reform of the Sustainable Use Directive with a proposal for a Regulation on the sustainable use of plant protection products (2021/2115) which includes IPM as key cornerstone in its proposed implementation.
