{"id":6674,"date":"2024-10-10T08:56:22","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T08:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=6674"},"modified":"2024-10-10T08:56:22","modified_gmt":"2024-10-10T08:56:22","slug":"the-demonstration-session-of-the-jornadas-tecnicas-do-montado-brings-together-the-national-network-of-three-european-projects","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/en\/noticias\/the-demonstration-session-of-the-jornadas-tecnicas-do-montado-brings-together-the-national-network-of-three-european-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"The demonstration session of the Jornadas T\u00e9cnicas do Montado brings together the national network of three European projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>24 September<\/strong>, <strong>CONSULAI<\/strong> organized a demonstration session of the <strong>Jornadas T\u00e9cnicas do Montado<\/strong>, bringing together the national network of three European projects at <strong>Herdade da Carneira<\/strong> in <strong>Borba<\/strong>: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/climatefarmdemo.eu\/pt\/climate-farm-demo-pt\/\">Climate Farm Demo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/grazing4agroecology.eu\/\">Grazing4AgroEcology<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.au.dk\/mixed\/\">MIXED<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The participants were welcomed by farmer <strong>Carlos Mira<\/strong>, a member of the demonstration network for the <strong>Climate Farm Demo<\/strong> and <strong>Grazing4AgroEcology<\/strong> projects. The session started with an overview of the farm, highlighting its main areas of interest and defining the farm&#8217;s objectives. <strong>Herdade da Carneira<\/strong> is a diverse agricultural holding, with an important focus on <strong>cork oak forests<\/strong> and the breeding of purebred <strong>Black Merino sheep<\/strong>. It currently has an average annual production of <strong>250 lambs, with self-production of feed for the entire herd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event was joined by the company <strong>AgroInsider<\/strong>, which shared its experience with the participants on the subject of <strong>carbon credits and markets<\/strong>, an important area for farmers and which was the subject of a previous session of the Technical Days, held last April in Coruche. You can find more information about this previous session <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/noticias\/jornadas-tecnicas-do-montado-reunem-mais-de-70-participantes-em-coruche\/\">here<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The event was supported by <strong>Lusosem<\/strong>, which addressed the topic of <strong>direct sowing<\/strong>, a practice carried out for the first time by <strong>Herdade da Carneira<\/strong>, with the aim of <strong>reducing soil tillage<\/strong>. This was followed by a debate <strong>focussing on soil health<\/strong>, highlighting the need for treatments and corrections through practices such as liming to <strong>increase pH<\/strong> and the <strong>addition of organic matter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Association of Forestry Producers of the Portalegre District<\/strong> was also present, emphasising the <strong>monitoring<\/strong> and <strong>phytosanitary control of cork oaks<\/strong> for good cork oak forest management.<\/p>\n<p>The different interventions enriched the demonstration session, which ended with a <strong>group exercise<\/strong> in which participants had the opportunity to reflect about <strong>climate adaptation and mitigation practices<\/strong>, identifying their <strong>benefits<\/strong> and the <strong>respective implementation challenges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you at the next session of the Jornadas T\u00e9cnicas do Montado!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6672,"template":"","categorias":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
