{"id":7130,"date":"2024-11-22T16:16:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T16:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=7130"},"modified":"2024-11-22T16:17:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T16:17:48","slug":"consulai-attended-to-climate-farm-demo-cfd-project-annual-meeting-at-slovenia","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/en\/noticias\/consulai-attended-to-climate-farm-demo-cfd-project-annual-meeting-at-slovenia\/","title":{"rendered":"CONSULAI attended to Climate Farm Demo (CFD) project annual meeting, at Slovenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Between 22<sup>nd<\/sup> and 24<sup>th<\/sup> of October, <a href=\"https:\/\/consulai.com\/backup2025\/\"><strong>CONSULAI<\/strong> <\/a>attended to <a href=\"https:\/\/climatefarmdemo.eu\/\">Climate Farm Demo<\/a><strong>\u00a0(CFD)<\/strong> project annual meeting at the <strong>Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia (CAFS)<\/strong> in <strong>Ljubljana<\/strong>, <strong>Slovenia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting brought together more than <strong>80 organisations<\/strong> coordinated by the <strong>French institute IDELE<\/strong>. This project <strong>began in 2022 and will end in September 2029<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The structure of this meeting rather <strong>interactive sessions<\/strong> that enabled the partners to be <strong>trained, helping them to understand the project and supporting the execution<\/strong> of the tasks taking place in each of the countries.<\/p>\n<p>The project proposes the creation of a <strong>European network of demonstrator farmers in 27 countries<\/strong>, accelerating the adoption of <strong>climate-smart practices<\/strong> and solutions with the aim of <strong>adapting agricultural production systems to climate change, contributing to the sector&#8217;s carbon neutrality by 2050<\/strong>. <strong>CONSULAI<\/strong> is responsible for the <strong>Portuguese network of more than 30 demonstrator farmers with different production systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, <strong>four farms from the network of Slovenian demonstration farmers were visited<\/strong>: two <strong>cowsheds<\/strong>, an <strong>orchard<\/strong> and a <strong>farm focussed on arable crops<\/strong>. During these visits, the Slovenian farmers explained the<strong> challenges and impact of climate change on their production<\/strong>. Group dynamics were promoted, with the support of <strong>CONSULAI<\/strong>.\u00a0 In these moments, it was possible to see the <strong>cooperation and exchange of good practices between farmers<\/strong> and <strong>counsellors from different countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to managing the network of demonstrator farmers in Portugal, <strong>CONSULAI<\/strong> <strong>also coordinates thematic leaders at European level<\/strong>. These thematic leaders explore several topics, such as <strong>Soil Health, Water Management and Rewarding Mechanisms<\/strong>. During the meeting an interactive session was organised to bring these leaders together and d<strong>evelop a strategy to increase knowledge sharing between countries by organising cross-visits and scheduling thematic webinars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All of this strained the good relationship between the partners who, at the end of the second day, got together for a <strong>social dinner with Slovenian food and music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The third and final day of the meeting explored the work carried out by the<strong> Living Labs (LL) established in the project<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>CONSULAI<\/strong> had the opportunity to share the <strong>main actions carried out in Portugal by the Montado Living Lab coordinated by the University of \u00c9vora<\/strong>. The Portuguese LL aims to accelerate the<strong> adoption of innovative solutions and mitigate the desertification of the agroforestry system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting ended with an interactive closing session by <strong>coordinator Christine Berger<\/strong>, which allowed each participant to<strong> identify and list the next steps in each country<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To leverage knowledge, methodologies and results, the <strong>CFD project continually and actively seeks to collaborate with other projects<\/strong>, <strong>initiatives<\/strong> and <strong>policymakers<\/strong>, and this work is coordinated by the <strong>CONSULAI team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Portuguese team<\/strong> is currently focused on <strong>calculating the carbon footprint of each farm<\/strong>, which will support the development of the <strong>climate adaptation and mitigation plan and will allow the prioritisation of the measures to be implemented by each farmer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the project, the national network will have <strong>several demonstration events organised by the demonstrating farmers and CONSULAI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Find out more about the project <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/climatefarmdemo.eu\/\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>!<\/p>\n<p>Image: <span data-teams=\"true\">Thomas Alfoeldi<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":7128,"template":"","categorias":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
