Geographical Area Covered: Municipalities of Barrancos, Moura, Mourão and Serpa

Appropriation €185,600 of public expenditure

Nature of Beneficiaries: Natural or legal persons, provided they are SMEs, within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC

Investment: Greater than 10,000 euros and less than 300,000 euros

Support FeesThe grants are awarded in the form of a non-repayable subsidy, according to the following levels and limits:

• More than 10,000 euros and 300,000 euros or less – 50%

Selection Criteria:

• Contribution to the goals of the LDS (Local Development Strategy):

  • Total project investment amount

  • New company or creation of a new activity in an existing company with registration up to 6 months prior to the submission of the application

  • Projects whose activities are provided for under the CAE (Rev.4) codes: 47113, 47273, 55202, 55203, 55300, 56111, 56114, 81300, 82300, 82990, 90010, 90130, 91300, 93130, 93293 and 93294

• Renewable energy or efficient use of resources

• Internal Rate of Return equal to or greater than the European Central Bank’s refinancing rate (REFI) by at least 1.5%, as at the date of publication of the notice

• Investments aimed at obtaining quality certifications

• Creation of new jobs

• Investments that use or add value to by-products or waste in the production process

• Family farmer or young rural entrepreneur status
