A CONSULT developed National Observatory of Irrigation, an agricultural observatory for the FENAREG and COTTR. The platform was presented to November 6, At the XVI Jornadas da FENAREG, no LNEC, in Lisbon.
The Observatory represents a milestone in the collection, organization, and communication of information about national irrigation and promotes a more efficient and sustainable use of water in agriculture. It was developed for FENAREG, National Federation of Irrigation Engineers of Portugal, and for the COTTR, National Irrigation Competence Center.
A platform built on Power BI
With comprehensive technical support from CONSULT, The Observatory was developed in Power BI and integrates data from various official sources, such as the INE, o IFAP and a DGADR, In a single interactive digital space, accessible to irrigators, researchers, decision-makers and the general public.
It is a data monitoring and analysis platform that addresses a historical gap in the sector: the lack of centralized and transparent access to reliable information about irrigation in Portugal.
