AdvisoryNetPEST is a Horizon Europe-funded project, the first to be coordinated by CONSULAI and that started on January 1, 2024. For the next five years, the project aims to enhance EU advisory services and foster knowledge sharing to reduce the use and risk of pesticides in all EU Member States, offering advisors and farmers state-of-the-art tools and resources to optimize crop protection.
Driven by the objectives of developing a robust network of advisors, identifying novel approaches, and facilitating knowledge exchange, AdvisoryNetPEST is set to deploy a comprehensive framework to empower advisors and farmers with the tools and knowledge needed to embrace alternative and sustainable solutions for crop protection.
February 2024 marked a significant milestone for AdvisoryNetPEST, as the project team actively participated in the EU CAP Network Seminar held in Vienna. This platform brought together a diverse range of stakeholders from the agricultural sector to discuss the skills and lifelong learning for advisory and training service providers. The seminar served as an excellent opportunity to showcase the project’s objectives and expected impact and engage with stakeholders from across Europe.
Following the meeting in Vienna, the project team continued its journey to Madrid in April 2024 for the General Assembly of the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS). This event provided a platform for the AdvisoryNetPEST team to present their work to a broader audience and receive feedback from key stakeholders. The General Assembly of AKIS also offered the chance to explore potential partnerships and synergies with other initiatives in the agricultural sector. This event helped the AdvisoryNetPEST project to strengthen its impact and expand its reach across Europe.
Looking ahead, the AdvisoryNetPEST project is committed to maintaining an open dialogue and fostering collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders. By harnessing its partners’ collective knowledge and expertise, the project aims to drive significant change in the agricultural sector, promoting sustainable pest management practices.
In summary, the AdvisoryNetPEST project is poised to enhance European agricultural advisory services by providing innovative solutions to reduce the use and risk of pesticides and fostering strong partnerships.
