The event took place in <strong>Ant\u00f3nio Teixeira Experimental Station<\/strong>, was organised by <strong>ANPROMIS<\/strong> and brought together 300 participants from the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the morning, participants visited various stations among the maize pivots, where the main technological innovations used in the production of this crop and the trial results from the <strong>INOVMILHO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical constraints and PE reprogramming<\/strong><strong>PAC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Late in the morning, <strong>Ana Paula Garcia<\/strong>, deputy head of <strong>DGAV<\/strong>, <strong>Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary<\/strong>, addressed the main technical constraints of maize production in Portugal. <strong>Eduardo Diniz<\/strong>, Director-General of <strong>GP surgery<\/strong>, <strong>Office for Planning, Policies and General Administration<\/strong>, explained the obligations and support schemes planned for maize growing under the CAP reprogramming<strong>PAC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NUTRI-CHECK NET<\/strong><strong>optimise the fertilisation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dina Lopes<\/strong>, Director of Research and Innovation of <strong>CONSULT<\/strong>, presented the <strong>NUTRI-CHECK NET<\/strong>, funded by <strong>Horizon Europe programme<\/strong>, the aim of which is to develop an inventory of tools and solutions that make it possible to optimise fertilisation in wheat, maize and potato crops across ten European countries. Being present at the field day made it possible to promote the project among more farmers and advisory technicians, and to learn about ongoing research into maize cultivation in Portugal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VALORCER<\/strong><strong>soil organic matter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the <strong>VALORCER<\/strong>, which seeks to boost cereal producer organisations with new perspectives, advanced technologies, and process optimisation and management methods, Professor <strong>Maria Jos\u00e9 Roxo<\/strong>, yes <strong>NOVA FCSH<\/strong>, shared knowledge on the importance of soil organic matter, a decisive factor for the development of this crop.<\/p>\n<p>The day ended with demonstrations of drone-assisted seeding, as a representation of innovation in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>These projects are funded by <strong>European Union<\/strong><strong>.
