D.1.1.1.3 – Investment in Diversification, Trade and Associated Services

Geographical Area Covered: Municipalities of Amares, Barcelos, Braga, Esposende, Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde

Appropriation €625 million of public expenditure

Nature of Beneficiaries: Natural or legal persons, provided they are SMEs, within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC

Investment: Greater than 10,000 euros and less than 300,000 euros

Support FeesThe grants are awarded in the form of a non-repayable subsidy, according to the following levels and limits:

• More than 10,000 euros and 300,000 euros or less – 45%

Selection Criteria:

• Contribution to the goals of the LDS (Local Development Strategy):

  • Investment operation in a strategic economic activity or proximity service for the area

  • Farm stay

  • Projects with eligible investment equal to or less than 100 thousand euros

  • Operation maturity level

  • Compliance with the ATAHCA Specific Regulation

• Renewable energy or efficient use of resources

• Internal Rate of Return equal to or greater than the European Central Bank’s refinancing rate (REFI) by at least 1.5%, as at the date of publication of the notice

• Investments aimed at obtaining quality certifications

• Creation of new jobs

• Investments that use or add value to by-products or waste in the production process
