The project Horizon 2020 ClieNFarms, of that the CONSULT It is a partner, it launched the Scaling Toolbox, a digital tool for agriculture. The European project, funded by Horizon 2020 within the framework of European Green Deal, Thus, it places at the disposal of the sector an instrument to support the mitigation of climate change, with the aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2050, a goal set by European Union.
The tool responds to the need to disseminate more sustainable and efficient agricultural practices. It gathers catalogs of technical solutions adapted to different regions and production systems and addresses topics such as behavioral changes, multi-actor approaches, risk management, and impact monitoring.
Three paths of transformation
The concept of scale is central to the approach of ClieNFarms. The tool explores three paths: the ascending scale, the scaling-up, which makes initiatives grow in specific contexts; the transversal scale, the scaling-out, which replicates changes in comparable systems or contexts; and the systemic scale, the scaling-deep, which requires a profound transformation of agricultural systems.

A Scaling Toolbox It was designed to be accessible to different professionals: farmers, advisory technicians, members of the industry, public policy officials and financial institutions. The available resources adapt to the needs of each user, which facilitates the implementation of sustainable practices at different stages of the transformation process.

CONSULT It is part of the consortium of ClieNFarms and ensures in Portugal the connection of the project with the farmers and the organizations of the sector.
