A CONSULT and Crédito Agrícola will be present at the TERRA’26, these days 9th and 10th September 2026, na Quinta da Melhorada, na Azinhaga, Colleague, to present the new edition of CA AgroTransição, a training programme dedicated to the sustainable transition of the agricultural sector nationwide.
Developed by Crédito Agrícola in partnership with CONSULT, o CA AgroTransição supports farmers and technicians from producer organisations through the development of practical and strategic skills for the adoption of more sustainable agricultural practices. The programme responds to environmental challenges that mark the agricultural sector at a national level.
The programme is structured into four environmental pillars that frame the main topics covered:
- Climate and climate change
- Alone
- Water
- Biodiversity
- Ecosystem services
It also integrates the social and economic dimensions associated with agricultural activity, promoting a comprehensive approach to the challenges of sustainable transition.
Under the motto “The Future of Farming Begins Here”, the CA AgroTransição combines theoretical training sessions, field visits to benchmark farms, practical workshops and analysis of real case studies. This approach seeks to bring together technical knowledge, practical application and strategic reflection on the environmental challenges of the sector.
Following a first edition focused on training the agricultural sector in matters of sustainability, the programme is now evolving towards a more specialised approach tailored to each sector. The new edition includes six sector-specific sessions that make it possible to adapt the content to the specificities of each productive context.
O TERRA’26 takes place in a context where Portuguese agriculture faces challenges such as rising production costs, climate pressure, soil degradation and the ageing of the farming population. Dedicated to soil regeneration and the sustainability of production systems, the event brings together farmers, researchers, companies, technicians and policymakers for two days of knowledge sharing, field demonstrations of practices and debate on the structural challenges of agriculture in Portugal and Europe.
