A CONSULT and Santander they signed a collaboration protocol on agricultural financing, and 12 September. The signing took place on the third day of the AGROGLOBAL 2025 and the protocol seeks to boost synergies between the two entities for the benefit of their clients, in particular farmers seeking suitable financing solutions for their investments in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors.

A CONSULT it is a consultancy firm with experience in the design and monitoring of investment projects in the sector and in the diversification of activities in the rural world, with technical rigor, closeness to the ground and knowledge of the sector's needs. Santander it has established itself as a benchmark financial partner in supporting the sector, with banking solutions tailored to the demands and challenges of Portuguese farmers.
What changes for farmers
Under the partnership, the two entities undertake to collaborate in supporting farmers, promoting access to competitive financing, planning tools and conditions that favour the sustainability and profitability of farms.
Why does this protocol matter
Agricultural financing is one of the critical stages of any investment in the sector. Between the decision to invest and the execution of the project, the producer needs to coordinate the public support for which they are applying, the available equity and the banking solution that covers the remainder and campaign cash flow. Bringing those who prepare investment projects closer to those who finance them shortens this journey.
