A CONSULT collects responses to the project's European questionnaire ForestAgriGreenNudge, The inquiry seeks to understand which factors influence the adoption of more sustainable agricultural practices and is aimed at Portuguese farmers.
The project is based on the conviction that small changes can have big impacts. Based on behavioral science, it supports those who make decisions in agriculture and forestry through green nudges, subtle and positive interventions that help guide choices towards more sustainable practices.
How the project works
The approach begins with a review of existing initiatives that use green nudges, followed by an evaluation of their effectiveness and ethical integrity. The nudges are then tested in practice to identify the most successful ones, which are refined and adapted based on the input from stakeholders throughout the value chain.
This work is based on the analysis of the behavior of consumers and producers, that is, the way each decision is made on the ground and what can make the choice lean towards the most sustainable alternative.
A iNUDGE Academy
The result will be the iNUDGE Academy, an online tool designed to support policy-makers, farmers, forest producers, retailers and wholesalers. It will gather practical guidelines, implementation strategies and risk assessment to integrate nudges into daily practices.
How to participate
The participation of national farmers is essential to ensure that their perspectives are heard and integrated into the project’s recommendations. The questionnaire is online, takes between five and ten minutes, is anonymous, and is used exclusively for scientific research purposes, contributing to more effective policies to support the green transition in agriculture in Portugal and Europe.
