The Horizon Europe QuantiFarm project has ended and published a toolkit with the evaluation of digital technologies on real farms

Projeto QuantiFarm Chega ao Fim e Partilha Resultados Finais

The project Horizon Europe QuantiFarm ended in March 2026 and published its final results in toolkit. The conclusion marks the end of more than three years dedicated to evaluating the impact of digital technologies on agriculture under real-world conditions.

Funded by Horizon Europe, o QuantiFarm brought together 32 partners from 20 countries. A CONSULT led work package 4 activities, where she coordinated, monitored and evaluated the case studies implemented across Europe.

The evaluation figures

The results are based on the evaluation of 30 case studies on commercial farms, which covered seven agricultural sectors, involved 51 farms and 115 plots across 20 countries, and enabled the assessment of 40 digital technologies using 97 indicators. They also incorporate the results of 38 commercial solutions tested in a real-world context.

The final toolkit

The main project deliverable is the QuantiFarm Toolkit, available at quantifarmtoolkit.eu, which brings together the information gathered in a way that is accessible to farmers, advisors and decision-makers. The resources are also deposited in the Zenodo, which ensures open and permanent access to the data and documents produced.

To a CONSULT, which followed the case studies throughout the project, this work makes it possible to answer a specific question from producers with data: what each digital technology brings under real-world farming conditions.

A route passing through Lisbon

The consortium met in Lisbon in June 2024, at a meeting organised by CONSULT which brought together more than 50 partners to mark two years of implementation and plan the subsequent activities. On that occasion, the project's first Digital Innovation Academy train-the-trainer workshop was also held, aimed at agricultural advisory technicians.
