With the construction of the Baixo-Sabor dam (perimeter between 50 and 500 hectares), EDP sought to establish a programme to promote local production, which would constitute an opportunity for producers in the region, particularly for producers in the Vilariça Valley hydro-agricultural scheme (2,402.3 ha).
