Geographical Area Covered: Municipalities of Amares, Barcelos, Braga, Esposende, Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde

Appropriation 280 million euros

Nature of Beneficiaries: Natural or legal persons engaged in the processing of agricultural products, the bioeconomy and the circular economy, as defined in points (e), (k) and (ee) of Article 5 of the Order No. 247/2025/1, of 30 May

Investment: Greater than 10,000 euros and less than 250,000 euros

Support FeesThe grants are awarded in the form of a non-repayable subsidy, according to the following levels and limits:

• More than 10,000 euros and 250,000 euros or less – 50%

• Investments that contribute to improving environmental performance – 50%

Selection Criteria:

• Contribution to the goals of the LDS (Local Development Strategy):

  • Investment operation in a strategic agri-food activity for the region

  • Creation of new or recent companies (in the 2 years prior to the call for proposals opening date)

  • Projects with eligible investment equal to or less than 100 thousand euros

  • Operation maturity level

• Investments in renewable energies

• Internal Rate of Return equal to or greater than the European Central Bank’s refinancing rate (REFI) by at least 1.5%, as at the date of publication of the notice

• Creation of new jobs

• Investments that use or add value to by-products or waste in the production process

• 10395 – Processing and preservation of fruit and vegetables by other processes

• 10412 – Olive oil production

• 10510 – Dairy products manufacturing

• 10822 – Manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery (first transformation only)

• 11021 – Production of still and fortified wines

• 11022 – Manufacture of sparkling and aerated wines

• 11030 – Manufacture of cider and other fruit-based fermented beverages

• 11060 – Manufacture of malt

• 13105 – Preparation and spinning of cotton, wool, silk, flax and other textile fibres: preparation and texturing of synthetic and artificial filaments (preparation of flax up to spinning)
