What has changed in Portuguese agricultural work in recent decades?
In a context of accelerated transformation of the agribusiness sector, CONSULAI developed the study “Evolution of Work in Agriculture in Portugal” to analyze the structural changes in agricultural work in recent decades.
The results show a more productive and technologically advanced agriculture, but also one that is more dependent on new forms of labor, labor immigration, and technical skills, in a context marked by the aging of the workforce and security challenges.
