Applications are now open for:

Incentive System for Business Research and Development (R&D) for a Just Transition – Support for R&D operations, in individual and/or co-promotion formats, led by SMEs, integrating industrial research and/or experimental development activities aimed at the creation of new products, processes or services, or the introduction of significant improvements to existing products, processes or services, within the scope of the climate and energy transitions

Geographical Area Covered: NUTS III – Alentejo Litoral

Eligible Sectors: Agri-food, Renewable Energies and Tourism, under the terms set out in the notice, including activities classified under the eligible NACE codes indicated for each domain

Appropriation 5 million euros

Nature of Beneficiaries: SMEs. Also acting as co-promoters are the Non-Business Entities of the Research and Innovation System (ENESII)

Minimum Eligible Investment: €200 million

Maximum Duration of Operations: 36 months

Maximum Support Rate:

• 80% for SMEs

• 85% for ENESII, subject to the terms and conditions set out in the notice

Main Conditions:

• Operations must be aligned with the priority domains of the Regional RIS3, contribute to the objectives of the call and fall within the Alentejo Litoral Territorial Just Transition Plan

• In the case of joint applications, the eligible business investment must account for at least 50% of the operation’s eligible investment

Submission of Applications:

• Stage 1: By 30 September 2026

• Phase 2: By 21 December 2026
