• C.2.2.1 | Young Farmers Installation Grant

• C.2.2.2 | Productive Investment Young Farmers

Allocation€25 million

Total investment: ≥ €25m

Geographical area covered: Mainland Portugal

Type of beneficiaries:

• Individuals aged between 18 and 40 years inclusive at the date of application submission

• Legal entities in the form of a limited company whose corporate purpose includes agricultural activity, provided that all managing partners are young farmers, hold the majority of the share capital and have an individual shareholding of more than 25%

C.2.2.1 | Young Farmers Installation Grant, for beneficiaries setting up as young farmers under a first-time installation scheme:

• €25 million – Fixed fee

• €25,000 – Young farmer setup scheme under exclusive dedication

• 5 million euros – Agricultural holding located in vulnerable territories as defined by the approved delimitation Order No. 301/2020, of 24 December

C.2.2.2 | Productive Investment Young Farmers, the supports are granted in the form of a non-repayable grant, and may take the form of unit costs or reimbursement of eligible costs incurred by the beneficiary, according to the levels:

• Up to 500,000 euros – 60%

• More than 500,000 euros and 2 million euros or less – 50%

• Investments in existing irrigation systems – 60%

• Investments in irrigation systems in new areas – 50%

• The support limit per application is 400,000 euros

The sum of the installation grant and the amount of support to be granted under category C.2.2.2, «Productive Investment for Young Farmers», must not exceed 120% of the approved eligible investment amount

Eligible expenses:

• Expenses are temporally eligible from 1 January 2023, provided they are neither materially concluded nor fully executed, that is, they present a physical and financial execution ≤ 50%, as of the date of submission of the application

• Expenditure incurred prior to the submission of the application is eligible when presented in the first payment claim, within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of electronic submission and authentication of the statement of acceptance

• The maximum time limits for beneficiaries to start and complete the physical and financial execution of operations are 6 and 24 months respectively, counting from the date of electronic and authenticated submission of the term of acceptance
