CONSULAI's internationalisation project “Invest in Agrifood. Invest in Portugal” focused, on the one hand, on attracting foreign investment to the agricultural and agro-industrial sector in Portugal and, on the other, on the development of activities and strategic alliances in Lusophone countries such as Angola and Mozambique.

• Increase CONSULAI’s international presence, focusing on the export of services and products
• Diversify target markets, with a special focus on European countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and Latvia
• Increase export volume, with a net growth target in international sales
• Attract foreign investment to the agricultural and agro-industrial sector in Portugal
• Develop strategic partnerships and activities in Portuguese-speaking countries, especially Angola and Mozambique, with a view to creating cooperation networks and market expansion
CONSULAI was involved in the drafting, submission and monitoring of the application. It was also involved in the co-creation of the internationalisation strategy. It participated in the analysis of target markets and distribution networks. It contributed to the maintenance and expansion of the international contact network. It promoted business missions and hosted incoming missions. It acted in the prospecting of funding sources for the defined strategy. It monitored indicators of international success and performance.
