D.1.1.1.2 – Small Investments in the Bioeconomy and Circular Economy

Geographical Area Covered: Municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo, with the exception of the Union of Parishes of Viana do Castelo (Santa Maria Maior and Monserrate) and Meadela

Nature of Beneficiaries: Natural or legal persons engaged in the processing of agricultural products, the bioeconomy and the circular economy, as defined in points (e), (k) and (ee) of Article 5 of the Order No. 247/2025/1, of 30 May

• A maximum of 2 applications per beneficiary is permitted during the validity period of this notice

Investment: Greater than 10,000 euros and less than 250,000 euros

Support FeesThe grants are awarded in the form of a non-repayable subsidy, according to the following levels and limits:

• More than 10,000 euros and 250,000 euros or less – 50%

• Investments that contribute to improving environmental performance – 50%

Selection Criteria:

• Contribution to the goals of the LDS (Local Development Strategy):

  • Added value for endogenous resources

  • Feasibility, maturity and execution capability

  • Local businesses

  • Investment size

• Investments in renewable energies

• To be a Recognised Producer Organisation, Recognised Multi-Product Producer Group or Accredited Agricultural Cooperative

• Internal Rate of Return equal to or greater than the European Central Bank’s refinancing rate (REFI) by at least 1.5%, as at the date of publication of the notice

• Investments aimed at obtaining quality certifications

• Creation of new jobs

• Investments that utilise or add value to the by-products or waste of the production process

• Vinho Verde

• Cachena, Minhota and Barrosã cattle breeds

• Garrano horses

• Bísaro pigs

• Sheep of the Bordaleira do Entre-Douro-e-Minho and Churra do Minho breeds

• Bravia goats

• Poultry – Black Lusitanian Hen, Yellow Hen, Portuguese Partridge Hen and White Hen
