FAIRshare, a project funded by the EU through the Horizon 2020 programme, is gathering an inventory of existing Digital Advisory Tools and Services (or DATS) in Europe, which include: communication tools, agricultural software, benchmarking tools, web applications, digital education and training materials and supports, among others.
This project aims to promote digitisation, ensuring that digital innovation in agriculture is on pace with other sectors and that the benefits of this digitisation are available to the farming community. CONSULAI, who is leading the communication and dissemination work package, is also coordinating a case study on the use of DATS in Portugal.
The inventory of tools is accessible to users on an easily navigable online platform. The inventory currently contains more than 200 DATS from across Europe, and 16 Portuguese DATS.
Accompanying the online inventory of DATS will be information on ‘Good Practices’ on how the tools can be used/adapted for use. A Good Practice is defined as having verifiable positive results, being successful and being transferable (adaptable to different contexts). The documentation and sharing of Good Practices enables agricultural advisors, consultants and their organizations to learn from experiences in different European countries, increasing efficiency in achieving positive results.
You can search the DATS inventory, applying different filters for a quick and convenient result, or register a digital tool that is not present: https://fairshare-pnf.eu/
