Pasture Management in Montado

On November 10, 2023, CONSULAI, in collaboration with Sociedade Portuguesa de Pastagens e Forragens (SPPF), hosted its first Expert Meeting and Farm Walk in Montemor-o-Novo.

The event was supported by key partners such as APORMOR and Montemor-o-Novo City Council, the event brought together experts for impactful discussions on crucial topics related to Pasture Management in Montado.

A key focus of the gathering was the Grazing4AgroEcology (G4AE) project, which took center stage, offering attendees a deeper understanding of its objectives and contributions to advancing Pasture Management for the Montado.

In the afternoon, participants had the privilege of visiting Herdade da Filhardeira. The visit provided valuable insights into Joaquim Capoulas’ innovative approaches to farm management, emphasizing efficiency and the well-being of livestock.
