The Liga CONSULAI is for anyone in our sector who wants to spend a relaxed afternoon, learn, play and in some cases, compete – Rui Almeida, CONSULAI Partner and Chief Operating Officer

The feedback we have had so far has been spectacular and gives us the strength to continue to make the Liga CONSULAI a reference with our partners and customers.

The next round of the Liga CONSULAI, the official league of the agriculture, forestry, and food sector, kicks off next Saturday, February 26. Registration is closed, and the adhesion of participants to the competition has been rising throughout the stages. The 3rd Phase of the League, sponsored by the Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, is so far the phase with the largest number of participants.

To try to predict what the participants can expect from this stage, we went to talk to Rui Almeida, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of CONSULAI, and one of the main drivers of the League.

Rui, how did you come up with the idea of creating the CONSULAI League?

The Liga CONSULAI emerged in August 2020, after the 1st confinement, when we realized that it would be the time to be back with our partners and customers, to promote health, sport, inclusion and the social component that is so characteristic of Padel, a sport that many of our employees already practice.

And what is your balance of the League so far?

We already had 2 stages of the CONSULAI League, which involved more than 100 practitioners from our sector. The first one was sponsored by GREENS and the second by MoCoffee, always with the active participation of our League partners. They were stages where sports activity was highlighted, with a lot of fair play, but also with the competition bug. The feedback we’ve had so far has been spectacular and gives us strength to continue to make the CONSULAI League a reference with our partners and clients.

Is the Liga CONSULAI only a competition, or can it be a networking space for the sector as well?

It is clearly a networking space, where we provide, together with the partner club – Padel Factory – moments of reunion, relaxation and animation during the whole stage. We ensure that besides the games there is always room for a lively socializing.

Is the League intended for people who play Padel regularly, or is it open to people with less experience in the modality?

The Liga CONSULAI is for anyone in our sector who wants to spend a relaxed afternoon, learn, play and in some cases compete. The format is prepared to receive those who have never played padel, as well as those who already have a more evolved padel, so to speak. The idea is clearly to provide a pleasant and relaxed afternoon for everyone, especially for those who have never played or have been playing for a short time.

What can we expect from the next EA stage, which will take place on February 26th?

We are always preparing new things, surprises, and new dynamics, and the EA stage will be no exception. We already have 60 players signed up, and what we can promise you is that it will be another incredible stage. Our sponsors and partners have been unsurpassed in the support they have given us, as well as the companies in the industry that sign up at each stage, and it is with them that we will continue to make this Liga CONSULAI a success!

If you have not signed up for this stage, be aware of the opening of registration for future stages, through the CONSULAI website or the League’s official website.

Join the sector’s Christmas campaign!

AGRI.DOAR was born in 2019, when a group of companies in the agricultural, forestry and agri-food sectors have opted not to gift their customers with Christmas presents, channeling instead the amount to charity.  Last year, we counted on 23 partners and raised a donation greater than €25,000, which was allocated to LAR project. The support given to the institution made all the difference and impacted many lives. Watch the conversation with [...]
