Review meeting of H2020 SHERPA Project

The first review meeting of the H2020 SHERPA project took place on 16 June 2021. During this meeting, the main results and works carried out in the first 18 months of the project were presented. More specifically, the leaders of the each Work Packages presented an overview of the activities developed, the research results, the challenges faced and overcome. The next steps of the project were also addressed.

The overall feedback from the reviewers was positive. The creation of the Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs), promoting stakeholder involvement, has been vital to provide meaningful content that contributes to future rural development policy.

The work and contribution of the MAPs came at the ideal moment, to be able to feed into the forthcoming European Commission Communication on the Long Term Vision for Rural Areas. In Portugal, this work was developed within the MAP RURAL_PT, focused on the Centre Region.
